We are currently working on our reminiscence cottage here in Cuan Chaitriona. We have turned our sitting room into a replica Irish cottage. This idea came from our many visits to the brilliant ‘Jack’s Cottage’ in Islandeady, Co Mayo. Our carpenter is currently finishing the area which has a fireplace, dresser and bed. We had a cottage reminiscence afternoon and the residents voted on the name for our special cottage – Harbour Cottage. For those of you who don`t know, Cuan is the Irish for harbour. Pictures to follow shortly when the project is complete.
